Send me a small postal bag with your address and $5.00 postage on it.
Send to R.Drinkwater, p.o. box 22, Eidsvold.4637.Q.
And I will drop seed in and return it or if you want risk aust post crushing the seed, just pm me your name and address and I will post them off in a letter envelope!
Two choices lol.
I am not sure if I still have ur address.
May have, if so I will post it as I owe you a few $'s for the extra postage you gave me, lol.

Cool guys Just Email me and let me know what seeds you want from my list along with a postal address. I'll take any heirloom varieties.

Yes sparks, you have to be careful of cross pollinating.  So therefore, I wouldn't grow carrots and Queen Anne's lace in the same season.  You can't even eat the Queen Anne's lace so why would you?

And yes, two of the same variety ie two types of carrots may cross pollinate.  That gives you a hybrid breed when you save the seeds.  Now, I'm not a plant breeder and I don't supervise the bees.  But many new varieties have been discovered due to crossed breeds.  So long as I'm not dealing with F1 hybrids to start with or GM varieties, I'm a bit careful about how many varieties I plant but I don't sweat it.  And I save seeds every year.  One year I had two varieties of potato cross pollinated and grew back from seed.  They were fabulous!  They even sprouted and grew in the lawn.  Prepare to be surprised at what works and what doesn't.

For instance, pumpkins don't readily cross with squash.  So that gives you two things you can plant in one season.  Plant one variety of other veg or stagger the planting so it is less likely that two similar things are flowering at the same time.  Put some space between two similar varieties (at least 50m) You can shroud with mozzie netting to eliminate cross pollination if you want.  Pick good traditional varieties and don't sweat the small stuff.

Hey ccl
what variety of spuds were they.

I just got some seed spuds yesterday.  Subago and one other i cant remeber off the top of my head.
Was thinking of letting them cross pollinate and see what happens.

I think there were Sebago and Pontiac.  Sprouted everywhere and I got a white potato with pink splotches.  Growing potatoes from seed is interesting if you've got the time to play with it and you virtually have to wait 2 years to harvest but it sort of guarantees that anywhere you plant them, they will always sprout back.  I just leave them alone and if I run short at tea time one night, I can always find a few potatoes somewhere in the yard.
