Hi folks, I'm Joel from Canberra.

Just found this site after doing some searching for like-minded people.

I've always had an idea of living off the grid, so the missus and I are looking at planning and practicing prep stuff until we can afford our own piece of land in a few years.

Looks like a great community with tons of ideas so I'm keen to get to know you guys and learn as much as possible.

Cheers!

Hi jseg, another Canberran here. Welcome :-)

And one ex-Canberran. I do miss the place but then again the weather up here in CQ is way better :)

I like to think the cold weather makes me a tougher person. I'm too young to go soft just yet ;)

Hi, I'm Ray, from country Victoria. I believe the most likely scenario is Financial Collapse .. Currencies HAVE failed and WILL fail. I would really like to be able to share ideas with others who see this probability and what we can do to reduce the impact.

Hi everyone

I'm new to this but have been thinking about it for a long time. Things seem to be accelerating towards something catastrophic-like wherever you look so I thought I'd better get off my butt and do something to look after the family now and also in the event of an event!

At the moment I'm starting out with getting the BOB's ready, would appreciate some advice on the actual bag itself, I've read a lot of different articles and am thinking about getting a Condor 3-day assault bag. Any thoughts about this one or do you have a better idea? The bags can get quite expensive :/

I'm also getting into archery, I thought about guns however bullets could be hard to come by when there are no more shops so a bow and arrows seems to be the longest lasting and more practical choice (at least to me). Again thoughts would be appreciated :)

Anyway hi and thanks I'm looking forward to learning more :)

I gave up on the bag and changed to a pelican case on wheels...  fully waterproof and fits a whole damn body in it  :)
