More fake news from the US.

The Difference of a Half Degree
An average global temperature increase of 2° Celsius (3.6° Fahrenheit) will bring catastrophic changes — even as compared against a change of 1.5° C (2.7° F). “Heat waves would last around a third longer, rain storms would be about a third more intense, the increase in sea level would be approximately that much higher and the percentage of tropical coral reefs at risk of severe degradation would be roughly that much greater,”

Don't agree with the idea of fracking. It fracks the water table up. You've seen the gas bubbles in the river news coverage????

This is Prof. Giesler's lecture from Cornell Uni behind that post. It explains the problem Africa & the rest of us face. An hour well spent.

You will notice there is rarely any attacks in comments in these videos by climate change deniers any longer.

There is NO climate change!
Just cyclic variations!
If it gets warmer the icecaps will melt somewhat and restore the balance etc

I have been listening to this global warming crap for fifty farking years and you know what!

NOTHING I repeat NOTHING has happened!
Temperatures have gone no where, sea levels have NOT risen, no famine's, no super droughts, no massive heatwaves, no super storms, Nothing!!! other than media hype.

Yet many are still deluded by the crap that is thrown around

This hottest years crap is just that crap! several decades ago they "adjusted" a lot of the weather stations and got what they wanted ! dodgy readings!
No warming just moving the goal posts!
And of course sucking money from believers and non believers alike to feather their own nests!

The climate cycles on this planet are always fluid and are always influenced by some type of activity.
Whether it be manmade, volcanoes, meteor strikes etc etc.
Little we can do about it from where I stand.
Billions of people will not change!

Yip it is cyclic the medieval warm period and the mini ice age occurred (Maunder Minimum) very rapidly and was all pre-industrialisation.  What were the divers and why do people think it is different this time.

The medieval warm period saw Greenland and Newfoundland were discovered and colonised by the vikings.  They grew cereal corps in places today that are above the snow tree line  (i.e. no tree growth).  Then things froze again (mini - ice age) and the vikings raided England as they could no longer grow food.  History shows the world does well when temps go up and when temps go down people starve and start the witch burning...

In fact it has all been linked to solar output - and the the sun is currently going into New Grand Solar Minimum google it - the crop growing areas of the USA and Canada have already shifted further south.

A 4 minute must watch current crop losses across the world due to unseasonable cold and cold migration south from the arctic.

As I have stated before.
The polar ice caps are reducing/melting on mars as well.
My honest opinion is that is more to do with a cycle in our solar system and very little to do with the other twaddle being peddled by those with other hidden agendas.
Peak and trough, peak and trough.

Rumours of Antantica's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

And the Arctic is melting so badly [/sarc] that ships are locked in ice and waiting for an icebreaker to reach them, at Midsummer.
