Cover was one of the first things we made sure we set up for the van. We bought it a few months back - and being winter, wanted to make sure it was protected from water inundation. Has worked a treat and should see us shaded in summer as well. Can't wait for it to warm up a little more and get the sky light things open too! :)

Have a very solid bushfire plan!  Vans and shipping containers don't handle high radiant heat very well ... whatever is in them cooks and/or catches fire.

On a related topic ... talk to your insurance company.  It never ceases to amaze me what insurance companies have in their fine print to avoid pay-outs.  We had a huge fire in my area back in 05 and I know of several instances where folks with basic 'home and contents' didn't get paid out for a lot of stuff because they should have had 'rural' or some other word-play weirdness.  Make damn sure that your assets on your rural block have the right policy covering them.

or ... don't have insurance and bank the savings.

That hot around here now you should have all air vents well and truely open, lol.
Loose ends make my arse itch and I have just clipped my finger nails. So the itch flows to my trigger finger.
