This is worth watching if you have any cash in the bank at all.

That's it, first thing tomorrow I'm going down to the bank and removing all my money, all $38.50 of it.

(Only half joking, we have bugger all in the bank, or anywhere else for that matter)

If I were a bank, I too would want to make sure that it's easy to arrange for a taxpayer/savings holder bail-in to reflate my balance sheet after a long overdue market correction.

Perhaps Oz preppers could become a registered lender, make billions in poorly considered loans and also hold its hand out when the time comes! ;)

It is easier to join than it is to beat? :-\

Well mine is not much better, but wife needs to be careful with kids savings accounts etc etc.
Be a blow if they got taken for the greater good of the taxpayers. >:(

I read that on a CoinSpot review page today and have just signed up with BTC which might be affected as well.

Maybe the banks are running scared.

I would say there is a small steady stream of excreta running down banks trousers and legs.
Imagine if all share transactions and mega funds transfers were done in crypto currency.
The banks would loose millions of $$$$$$$$$$$$ in criminal fees every year.
Not that i for one trust digital currency at all.
Had a chance to buy bitcoin at $800 each, but it made me sick in the guts when chewing over it at
the time.

I don't trust anything I don't physically have. But it might be worth gambling a few $100, you never know.
