Ha ha. How can you tell the difference?
Australian troops are embedded so far up the US Army's bum that they can't do anything by themselves anymore.
We have a whole generation of commanders who cannot operate without US intelligence, communications, air support, etc.
NATO is nothing without the US, and the US is not much of a force any more.

Anyway let's answer the question:
Let's see. What did everyone do when the government started recording all electronic communications, including all of your phone calls, all email, all your bank transactions? What did everyone do? Nuffin.

What did everyone do when our government gave support to the US-sponsored slaughter of people in Yemen, the poorest country in the world? Nuffin.

So my guess if no-one will do nuffin :-)

My mind set is that it would be a great time to harvest and re-equip with some more gear.

Why would the gummint ask NATO in when Keating signed a treaty / deal whatever with Indonesia to do just that. - to takeover from Oz armed forces and police.

I like your spirit ddp4570!  :)

I think that's the right way to look at it, and millions of Afghanis, Iraqis, Syrians, and Yemenis agree.
The US can bomb and destroy but they can't win a war, not since WW2. ok, maybe one: Gulf War 1.

At what cost as most of the troops from that event are dead now.
I think yanks killed more of their own than the enemy.
Plus depleted uranium paint on tanks, apc's etc etc.
As well as the poison from the scud missiles the dickheads shot down.
Genetically further modified HIV giving gulf war syndrome disease.
The list goes on.
They are a fucked up breed!
